「風一直吹，
我一直廢。」

夏天有一種很奇妙的魔力。

只要天氣一熱，
原本準備好的計畫，
好像就突然失去了意義。

電風扇打開。

坐下來。

吹一下。

嗯……

好像舒服多了。

再坐一下。

反正事情也不會自己跑掉。

於是原本只是想休息五分鐘，
最後變成：

「今天先這樣吧。」

有時候我們也會對自己感到有點不好意思。

別人正在努力工作，
自己卻坐在電風扇前面，
什麼事情都不想做。

但仔細想想，
人又不是機器。

偶爾關機一下，
應該也不算偷懶。

風吹著，
汗慢慢退了，
腦袋也暫時不用運轉。

那些該做的事情，
就先放在那裡吧。

人生已經夠忙了。

偶爾讓自己「廢」一下，
也許不是浪費時間。

而是讓自己喘口氣。

至於今天還沒完成的事情……

明天再努力。

如果明天還是很熱……

那就再吹一下。

畢竟，

風一直吹，
我一直廢。

The Wind Keeps Blowing, So Do I… Nothing

“The wind keeps blowing,
and I keep doing… absolutely nothing.”

Summer has a strange kind of magic.

As soon as the temperature rises,
all the plans we carefully made
suddenly seem much less important.

Turn on the fan.

Sit down.

Feel the breeze.

Ah…

Much better.

Maybe I’ll sit here for another minute.

After all,
the things I’m supposed to do
aren’t going anywhere.

And somehow,
a five-minute break
turns into:

“Maybe that’s enough for today.”

Sometimes we feel a little guilty about it.

Everyone else seems to be working hard,
while we’re sitting in front of a fan,
with absolutely no desire to accomplish anything.

But then again,
we’re not machines.

Taking a little time to shut down
probably shouldn’t count as laziness.

The fan keeps blowing.
The heat slowly fades.
And for a while,
the mind doesn’t have to work so hard.

The things that need to be done
can wait right there.

Life is already busy enough.

Sometimes doing absolutely nothing
isn’t wasting time.

Maybe it’s simply
taking a breath.

As for everything left unfinished today…

Try again tomorrow.

And if tomorrow is still too hot?

Well…

Turn the fan on again.

After all,

the wind keeps blowing,
and I keep doing… nothing.
