English Version
The Honest Night Wind
“The night wind is honest.
It only finds those who are still awake.”
The things we leave unfinished during the day
don’t magically clock out when the sun goes down.
During the day, we stay busy.
Work.
Errands.
Conversations.
Life.
And whenever something gets too difficult to think about,
we tell ourselves:
“I’ll deal with it tomorrow.”
Then midnight arrives.
The city grows quiet,
and the wind begins to move across the balcony.
That’s when we notice—
we’re still awake.
Maybe it isn’t really that we can’t sleep.
Maybe the daytime simply never gave us enough time
to be fully awake to ourselves.
There are feelings we put aside,
thoughts we postpone,
and questions we keep carrying around.
At night,
when everything else becomes quiet,
they sometimes return with the wind.
Work.
Life.
Things without answers.
And the same thoughts
we have already gone over a hundred times,
still somehow refuse to make sense.
There is something strangely honest about the night.
It doesn’t tell us to cheer up.
It doesn’t tell us to let go.
It simply lets us stand there
and feel the wind for a while.
So if you’re still awake tonight,
don’t be too hard on yourself.
If something doesn’t make sense yet,
leave it alone for now.
If the answer isn’t there tomorrow,
perhaps it can wait another day.
The wind will pass.
The night will pass too.
And those things we still haven’t figured out?
We can deal with them
when morning comes.
After all,
the night wind is honest.
It only finds those who are still awake.
