Waiting for Medicine, Learning Not to Hurry
Sometimes life simply asks us to stop for a while.
It might be waiting for medicine, waiting for test results, waiting for a message, or simply waiting for something to unfold in its own time.
We often want things to get better quickly.
Get the medicine. Recover quickly. Solve the problem. Move on.
But some things take time.
The body needs time to heal. The mind needs time to settle. And some questions in life need time before their answers become clear.
So this illustration captures an ordinary moment: sitting quietly, holding a number, and waiting to be called.
Perhaps waiting is not the same as doing nothing.
Sometimes, simply sitting with where we are is already a kind of practice.
It’s okay if things haven’t gotten better yet.
For today, just sit here.
Wait a little.
Take your time.
Waiting for medicine, learning not to hurry.
